Silversea’s Silver Muse is Simply Divine!

My husband, Scott, and I, were amongst the privileged few to join Silversea’s owner and executives on Silver Muse’s very first voyage. Our journey was the epitome of magnificence, exceeding our expectations of a Silversea experience.

Our grand adventure began pre-cruise in Milan, with an enchanting evening at Villa Necchi Campiglio. We reveled in the extravagance of the evening, which included cocktails and Italian aperitivo in the garden, followed by a savory Italian dinner and a private opera concert with La Scala singers…Bravo!!!

The next day we transferred to Genoa, where we seized the sights, scents and sounds of the glorious new Silver Muse. The enthusiasm was intoxicating…every moment was a first and our days were filled with new surprises.

Silver Muse is the ninth vessel touting prestigious Italian craftsmanship. Accommodating 596 guests, she has the highest number of large suites; eight innovative dining venues (several to include open dining); elegant bars and lounges and state-of-the-art technology. The décor is contemporary with the soft elegant feel of a personal yacht.

Our escorted tour of the Silver Muse gave us the opportunity to view all the suites, restaurants and spa…a priceless study for luxury consultants to share with their clients.

We enjoyed so many firsts on our trip. First to enjoy the view from our teak veranda; first to use the shower and first to sleep on the brand new Premium mattress with Pratesi® bed linens; down duvets; and pillows from the “pillow menu” fit for a king and queen.

The eclectic dining venues were the talk of the ship. Silversea classics… The Grill and La Terraza are now joined by six new dining venues, with something to satisfy every palate. Atlantide, was a personal favorite with so many seafood choices, along with Indochine’s Asian infusion, an unexpected surprise for a conscientious connoisseur. There’s more… the Japanese teppan Kaiseki, the informal Italian bistro Spaccanapoli, the intimate small plate tapas style, Silver Note and La Dame, the only Relais & Chateaux restaurant at sea.

Marseille, France and Tarragona, Spain were our two port stops before disembarking in Barcelona. Notre Dame de la Gard in Marseille joined our list of favorite churches; it was one of the more difficult walks, but we enjoyed this trek with our cruise mates and friends in the business.

In Tarragona, we were treated to an outdoor buffet of elegant tasters from Spain, before entering Ferrari Land, another first, with private access to enjoy the park one day before it opened to the public. Red Force, the tallest and fastest rollercoaster in Europe, was the main event.

Silversea made sure we had the time of our lives, while enjoying time with new friends. It was everything I hope my clients will experience on their own Silversea Voyages.  Bravo Silversea…Bravo!!!
